Cancer Lyme Disease - Click this link for more information
Since I've walked the journey as a breast cancer survivor and navigated the maze of treatment options, I know the fears and conerns that patients and loved ones experience. My treatment protocol included stereotactica biopsy, lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and 35 radiation sessions.
I have an emotional and physical understanding of patients' treatments. As a survivor/thriver, I can guide the patient - and family - through this physical and emotional journey. My understanding of the mind-body connection will be an asset early on in the cancer treatment to help the patient remain mentally stable and reduce anxiety and panic so treatment can work with less side effects.
I greatly benefited from, and strongly encourage my patients, to work with other holistic team members to help get through the treatment process. I have close ties with acupuncturists, massage therapists, and other professionals to ensure a whole-team approach.
In addition to my one-on-one experience with individuals, I also volunteered to lead a support group at INOVA Loudoun Hospital.
Lyme Disease
I've had the recent opportunity to work with a number of Lyme Disease patients and have become intimately familiar with the challenges faced by those inflicted with all levels of severity of the disease. Working closely with Loudoun County's leading physician on the disease, Dr Sarah Fletcher, I've experienced significant success improving the lives of Lyme Disease patients.
